Thank you for this meditation and insight – I am finding a trio that works together and trying to befriend all three – to let them go – fear, control and procrastination – together they are powerful in attempting to keep me safe but I am recognizing that I need to acknowledge their presence – understand why they are here and with grattitude acknowledge and release – please let me know if there is anything else to do with this trio which I have allowed to get me stuck – so that I can empower myself
thank you – with love and light

A warm welcome to you, Cher…

You are definitely on the right track. You will realize that the acknowledging and letting go happen in the moment. You are working on some very basic habits, and they have a momentum, which means that they can be sneaky. So staying aware as much as possible, seeing the urge begin to formulate, saying thank you for protecting me but no thank you, then making the loving choice is the way to go. This happens in the moment.

Understanding why they are here might be useful, but more important is to understand how they work. Break them down so distinctly that you could write a dissertation on each one – what is the initial urge, what thoughts appear, how do you feel in your body, what action occurs. The more you are aware of how they work, the more likely you can catch them when they come to visit you.

And all of this happens in a field of compassion, not struggle.

      Love to you….
