Listening Within (audio)

This is a guided audio that accompanies the posts on inner guidance and listening to the body. Here, I invite you to be open to what the body might be trying to communicate about a situation in your life that is unclear or confusing. Listening within can become second nature; we start by simply bringing our attention into the deepest part of our inner world. This is where the richest treasures can be found.

    Hi Gail.

This is cool because I heard some things I did not expect, and it also got me thinking about areas like the back of my neck that I rarely think about. We have all these sections working together, but until we think about them, we just take the whole connected item which we are for granted.

Gary Vaynerchuk always talks about gratitude as his biggest motivation, and this is an example of it, because if we take notice of parts of our body and our relationships and so on, it is hard to not put in effort to maintain them. Gratitude and listening go hand in hand.

This is also important for health. We can only ignore health problems for so long.

I love this comment, Armen! Just by noticing and listening, gratitude blossoms. It can’t be stopped once we really notice all these amazing aspects to our lives – body, relationships, senses. Then it can become like an avalanche of appreciation that takes over everything.

I think in our society, one thing the body tells us that we ignore is that we need to relax. If we check in, we will know that it’s time to slow down for a while. Then our job becomes actually taking a rest. This is counter to our culture of productivity, and there is a lot of support for not listening to this particular message. But if we don’t, eventually the body reaches the breaking point. As we find out either the easy way or the hard way, it’s always better to listen.
